Out of the Darkness Theatre Company was founded in 1992 in Moray in the north-east of Scotland. Initially the Company was a well supported voluntary organisation.

Since then the Company has progressed into an independent full time professional theatre company with charitable status.

We are committed to combating social exclusion by demonstrating through all activities that the diversity which inclusion brings contributes to development, increases creativity and innovation, heightens awareness, promotes understanding and harnesses unique skills and talents.

As a professional performing company we continue to devise new work for performance as well as using available texts.

We also perform issue based work by invitation at conferences and events using the power of performance to benefit the host organisations agenda.
